Meet Our Founder

Robin Ann Neverdon

Robin Ann Neverdon is the founder and Executive Director of You Are Never Alone, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery and re-entry. With a passion for helping others, Robin’s journey began with her own experiences in recovery and a deep commitment to filling the gaps she saw in existing support systems. Her mission was clear: to create a space where individuals could access the resources, care, and community they needed to rebuild their lives.

Having spent years volunteering, sponsoring individuals through Narcotics Anonymous, and serving her church, Robin noticed a critical need for more comprehensive and accessible recovery services. Determined to make a difference, she founded You Are Never Alone to provide not only housing and therapy but a complete ecosystem of support, equipping individuals with the tools they need to succeed long-term. Her work has expanded to include recovery homes, educational programs, and a wide network of community resources.

A strong advocate for the Black community, Robin has faced and overcome numerous challenges as a Black female nonprofit leader. From navigating resource limitations to managing expectations, her resilience and determination have shaped the success of the organization. Robin’s leadership is rooted in her values of compassion, integrity, and empowerment—principles she instills in her team and the individuals she serves.

Looking forward, Robin aspires to make You Are Never Alone the gold standard for recovery and re-entry support, creating a training hub for individuals to acquire life skills and become self-sustaining. She is committed to continuing her personal growth, including completing her college education, to further expand the organization’s impact.

Robin’s advice to others: “Surround yourself with like-minded people, never be afraid to ask questions, and always keep God first.”
